There is so much we can do...

bending everyone's brain!

Speech and language therapy supports a multitude of areas!

In my work I develop foundation skills such as play, choice making, attention and listening skills; understanding oral language skills such as processing questions, reasoning, memory, listening and reading comprehension and expressive skills such as articulation, phonology, and word-sentence level development.

Reinforcing a child or teens planning, organisation and executive memory function is key to their social maturation and their ability to engage in daily tasks whether in school or at home. These skills enhance flexibility and their access to opportunities.

The development of children's social and emotional wellbeing is inherent in the way that I work as well as the evidence-based practices I employ. Children learn to define themselves positively, to acknowledge their achievements and to thrive in their individuality. In supporting the aims and goals of their therapy children are encouraged to share their interests no matter how changeable or obscure. This makes our work functional, enjoyable and personalized.

If you are responsible for a child or teen, whose language or behaviour is difficult to interpret or when you have run out of fresh ideas or patience to help, please get in touch. I support our community by providing face-to-face and remote, assessment and therapy services.

Early intervention is the way forward!

"I am so pleased I came to see you, my husband and his family said I was being silly and should wait until M was 3. Thankyou for the fun and helpful ideas :)))"  Ms. W (parent)
